Tablet, film, jelly, capsule and cream describe how a medicine is delivered. That form can change exposure, handling and precautions even when the active ingredient and printed amount look familiar.

Convenience and clinical performance are separate

A chewable tablet may be easier to use; a film may remove the need to swallow a conventional solid tablet. Those practical benefits do not establish faster onset, better efficacy or fewer adverse effects. Such claims need evidence for the exact formulation.

“Soft” can describe a chewable product in one family and resemble a soft-capsule name in another. “Professional” and “Super Active” are naming conventions with no universal pharmacokinetic definition. Read the form field and leaflet rather than translating the suffix into an instruction.

A real example: vardenafil

The Levitra record distinguishes film-coated tablets from a 10 mg orodispersible tablet. The reference label says they are not bioequivalent. In formulation studies, the orodispersible product produced greater total blood exposure than the same-number film-coated product, without a consistent difference in peak concentration.

That result explains why identical milligrams do not guarantee identical delivery. It does not validate a different company’s sublingual tablet, oral jelly or “Professional” suffix.

Check the full family name

Cenforce demonstrates why a company catalogue still needs careful reading: Super Active entries conflict over whether another ingredient is present. Malegra DXT and Malegra FXT add different antidepressants rather than simply changing a plain sildenafil presentation.

The useful sequence is exact product name, ingredient list, amount per unit, formulation, company role and matching local information. The product directory preserves those distinctions rather than treating alternative forms as automatic upgrades.
